My funds are a bit screwy as the full impact of bleaker hit.  Although that was I need it now or “I will fail school purchase”, I’m still short one laptop which is my “I need it now or I fail life” purchase.

I’m such a creature of habit it’s not funny.  After stalking Apple and not seeing any updates, I decided eventually I didn’t like the macbook, so I was going to go with the macbook pro. It was still a bit grudgingly, and it was going to be refurbed.  Until today.

I didn’t think much of it when I read a article on our response to new macs.  I thought they were responding to a rumor.  Then someone said something and I responded as such, until he looked at me strange and said “go check apple’s site!”

I do.  Then washed over, with something like love I found her.  The new machine to fill the hole in my heart since Faith died.  She was sleek, fast, and perfect.

Like a sucker I look at her video, not once but five times.  I go through the features like a mad man, backlit keyboard, LED screen, extended desktop capability, an actual video card!

Ooh audio input.  It could be useful.

No firewire?  Well, I haven’t had a firewire device since my first ipod.

And she’s exactly the price that I was going to pay for a refurbished macbook pro!  Finally I’ll be able to write this semester, and do more photography!

Now I just need a name for her.
