Still not lovin’ it.
I work by gut. It’s my greatest downfall because it’s usually wrong, but I follow it anyway. I usually try to send brain in to get us on the correct path but it doesn’t work.
My brain came up with the solution of the digital camera, but my gut is fighting it. When I started research there was really three major criterion.
- It needs to be Nikon
- Future proof by at least two years
- It can’t risk any future endeavours financially (only delay)
Dummy gut decided to take over the search, it made my fingers type in http://www.nikon.com/, then happily browsed to the digital SLRs. Of course my brain pulled it off the F6 microsite.
Gut took a quick look at the digital SLR page and then said “that one!” at one particular model without looking at any of the model’s pages.
“That one? Why that one? Why don’t you look around?”
“It says new. Good enough for me!”
“New doesn’t mean better gut. There are lots of different ones.”
“It’s new! Fuck you brain, I know what I’m doing.”
“No you don’t.” My brain for the past year started talking in a English accent, by no coincedence it’s particular cadences matches a certain brunette from olde hastings towne. “Look at that one the d60, it looks nice.”
“Yeah that’s why Aston Kutcher has an entire website on it you see that to the left?”
Brain looked around “What, oh no no no.”
“Yeah. Go ahead, I’m sure you two will have lots in common after. Maybe you’ll both date. fag0rt.”
“What was the one you wanted?”
“D90.”
“Well it does do movies, and has a higher megapixel, compared to the D60…”
“It’ll kick Aston’s ass.”
“Oh definately.”
