Back to School
So I paid school back, and now I can go back.
Yay right?
Sort of. I know I want to finish a degree. I know that I’m halfway done, (65 credits out of 120 required), and I know that for the future it will be pretty helpful to have an actual college degree.
But I like goofing off at night playing Grand Theft Auto IV. Seriously! I’m awesome at gang bangin’, doin’ hits, and generally fucking shit up.
However, it needs to be done. So with heavy heart, I paid the cash back, verified that I was able to walk on in, and started looking over the course catalog.
Luckily Miss Brit has been wonderfully surportive. After all she’s dying to actually have a boyfriend with a college degree. As I was looking over my catalog, she downloaded it on her computer to try and help me choose my classes.
She was helpful with recommendations, but I did realize a few things. I have 6 semesters left (I’m going part time remember?) Originally I wanted to get the certificate in screen writing while I was there, and take as many classes in photography as possible.
I’m running out of time to do that. If I go for the certificate, the problem is it’s going to limit my choices for the next 3 years. Especially if I go for photography courses.
That would mean there would be less classes for regular writing, less chances for history, philosophy, and psyche.
FUCK! Why am I a sucker for challenges? I’m really left with two solutions
- I can go for a masters to make up with the ones I really love
- Take them after for non credit (at 500 a pop)
I’m not really feeling either, but I can use them all and maybe another journalism class (feature writing).
So I don’t know, but I have a week to figure it out.
