The Burg Month One

File under... Day to Day — mylo @ 11:49 pm

Well, I haven’t been talking much about this place. So I figured it’s about time to tell you guys on what’s going on.

The new apartment is cool.  I need to still go through lots of boxes, but the important stuff is unpacked, 360, consoles, etc.

When I come home I take the J train.  When I get off there is a nice little cafe on the corner, where they have scaffolding surrounding it.  Graffitti’d on is Neck Face, it feels like a blessing from the pope.

The Cafe has rough hewn floors, they play Jazz and blues, and it’s completely candle lit.

Walking down the street, it’s completely treelined from broadway down to lee.  Some of them have flowers on them, and after the rain it smells like clean and fresh like a girls perfume.

The houses are old row houses, at least 100 years old.  That are kept in good condition and look very european.  Hasidic kids play on the street, the girls are in clothes that remind me of little house on the prairie, the boys are riding bikes and speaking yiddish or hebrew.

The building isn’t the nicest, or cleanest but I like it.  I’m on friendly speaking terms with the landlords receptionist (who lives on the first floor), my neighbor Nick who is a really sweet old guy, and my next door neighbor Javier who is a boxer (also nice guy)

When I’m home, I suck in as much fresh air from the open windows into my lungs.  Enjoy the lack of pigeons, and play video games.

I go up to the roof, and then turn in.
