1986 the red sox faced the Mets in the world series. The Mets beat them. It went all the way to the seventh game and the mets won because the ball rolled between the legs of the first baseman (correct me if I’m wrong if it wasn’t) and the Mets were able to score the winning run.
Or something like that, it was years ago. The point is the Mets beat boston then.
